This deli is spot on. It's a very small, hole in the wall deli, but the pastrami sandwich was incredible. Very friendly service and even better food. I strongly recommend this place for anyone staying or visiting near Times Square.
Little hole in the wall spot hit the mark for an authentic NYC deli sandwich shop. My man behind the counter gave 100% authentic New York service. He was straight to the point, no BS, and worked some magic on my order. And best of all, the food. Would've liked a bit softer bread but besides that, the Italian was by far one of the best subs I've ever had. Sandwich was piled with fresh ingredients and so much flavor. Loved it and can't wait to go back.
Subs are AMAZING. They definitely do not skimp on portions. The man making our subs was super friendly and made great recommendations for us. My husband and I were very impressed!!

The chicken cutlet sandwich is phenomenal. Always a long wait especially during lunch hours but it's worth it, affordable for this area. Add hot peppers if you like it spicy, this is my go to spot for lunch!
If you've ever looked for a hole-in-the-wall joint and found it, it's not a hole-in-the-wall. This place is the absolute definition of the genre. You walk down the street and take a look down at your phone to check where Shama's Deli is, and you've likely already walked right past it. No frills deli with two guys behind the counter, prepping cold cut sandwiches in lockstep. Don't be surprised if a line forms longer than the storefront; service is quick here, and with a smile. Cash only. Deli prices. No frills cold deli sandwiches, no "ocky way" here.
This spot is definitely a hole in the wall, if you're not careful, you'll miss it. My first order was a turkey and cheese wrap. And after reading more reviews, I went back the next day for the pastrami hero!!! DELICIOUS!!! I will definitely be a regular now that I know about this place!!! The guys are loud, but, hilarious!!! 10 out of 10!
This tiny place has been here for ever! Great sandwiches w perfect attitude! I call it the garage sandwich. Service is fast, they got it down to a science. Must try
